The Chocolate Weekly 47 – 2014

Welcome to the new week. May it be as bright as the brightest Christmas lights over London and as tasty as the best Cacao Barry chocolate.

So what is new in the chocolate world this week?

The Chocolate Museum

Chocolate continues to play centre stage in all types of initiatives and projects. The most recent is the inauguration of a new and interesting Museum of Chocolate, located in the Belgian municipality of Koekelberg, very close to Brussels.

World Chocolate Masters (again)

Last time I was presenting the contestants for this year’s World Chocolate Masters. One of them is also the excellent Alistair Birt from the William Curley’s team. Have you ever seen him at work?

And yes, this lovely sculpture is made out of chocolate.

The head pastry chef at the ME hotel, Sarah Barber, is together with her team creating a “Christmas winter wonderland” which will be on display at the hotel from Tuesday 2nd of December. The entire display will be made of chocolate and will feature some very special magical surprises. The ME hotel will also launch their Christmas afternoon tea on Wednesday 19th.

New on the menu

Christmas spirit is coming also to the London restaurants. Can you guess what is on the picture bellow?
