Sarah Barber’s “Patisserie Perfection”

Sarah Barber, Head Pastry Chef at Corinthia Hotel London, has on Tuesday launched her first book: ‘Patisserie Perfection’. The wonderful book which presents fascinating Sarah’s creations was launched at a lovely event which took place at her “new home”, the Corinthia hotel and has gathered many colleagues, journalists, business partners and friends.

Sarah said ‘I am thrilled to be launching this book. It has been a long time coming. I have had a great team who have supported me through the process and I hope that I will inspire many more up and coming pastry chefs. The afternoon tea will give people a chance to sample my work before anyone else.’

For only two weeks this September, Sarah will be serving up a once-in-a-lifetime afternoon tea, featuring her favourite treats from within the book. This special afternoon tea will be available from 21st September till 4th October.

Served in the luxurious surrounding of The Lobby Lounge, guests will have the chance to sample and savour the treats made by Sarah herself. The book, which has been a year in the making, is a celebration of Sarah’s personal style and expertise, which she has developed during her 18 years’ experience as a pastry chef.

A selection of Sarah’s favourites has been chosen from key chapters in the book, including ‘Chocolate Bars’, ‘Petit Gateaux’, and ‘Entremets’. Recipes are fun and playful, encouraging budding pastry chefs young and old to practice their ‘bake off’ skills at home.
